The Preloved project brings the art of the op shopping experience to life in a multi-media and experiential way.
Te Oro came alive with public activations including a fashion show, DJ, workshops, activities, and more. Get amongst the op shop culture and redefine the way you live, by loving Preloved.
We designed a way to make our fashion fun, engaging, accessible, empowering, and creative.
In collaboration with Pip Hartley we designed a preloved make it up fashion competition. Using social media we advertised a workshop – Each received $50, a map and 2hrs to find the most out the gate outfits from the walking distance local op shops, setting a new bar in the fashion industry. Redefining style, genres and ideals that would usually refrain us from full blown creative expression. Unleash your inner creator and let the games begin!! Then back at Te Oro for a professional photoshoot. Each participant made photos and video of their op-shopping adventure. Then the participants had their chance to strut their creations down the runway of the PRELOVED launch where they found out who the winners were.
